Pradheepa Raman has been named Chief People Officer at GlobalFoundries, a leader in producing semiconductors with various features, with effect from September 12, 2022.
Pradheepa, an accomplished human resources executive with a track record of improving employee satisfaction and fostering organizational resilience via skill development, will be in charge of overseeing all GF’s global human resources initiatives
Pradheepa’s primary areas of concentration will be recruiting, personnel development, and developing GF’s culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion as GlobalFoundries continues to increase its capacity for global manufacturing.
Pradheepa comes to GF from Stanley Black & Decker, where she served in the combined capacities of chief transformation officer for the company’s largest business segment and worldwide head of human resources.
She formerly held the position of chief talent innovation officer for the business. Before joining Stanley Black & Decker, Raman held many executive positions in human resources at Avaya, a leading global technology firm, and served as Samsung Electronics America’s head of personnel, diversity, and employee engagement.
According to GF President and CEO Dr. Thomas Caulfield, Pradheepa “joins us with a proven track record of achieving impact via deliberate, strategic human resources leadership, delivering a best-in-class employee experience that sets the scene for success, development, and innovation.”
Dr. Thomas continued, “I welcome Pradheepa to GF on behalf of our 15,000-person global team. In this historic era for semiconductor production, I am happy for her to join our leadership team and elevate GF’s human resources strategy.
At a time when the semiconductor sector is so important to the world economy, I am tremendously delighted to start my career at GF, said Pradheepa.
“I am greatly looking forward to working with GF’s global team of skilled engineers, technicians, and business leaders,” added Pradheepa. My choice to join the leadership team was heavily influenced by GF’s strong commitment to employee development and their wide range of talent.
“Employees are a company’s most valuable asset, and I’ve dedicated my professional life to developing HR systems that engage, nurture, and empower talent. I’m eager to start working at GF,” Pradheepa continued.
