Preemita Singh has been appointed as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer by Havells India Ltd, one of the biggest and fastest-growing producers of electrical and power distribution equipment in India.
She will be in charge of the organization’s whole People and Culture agenda in this capacity.
Preemita is an accomplished HR leader with more than 20 years of enviable experience in the BFSI, IT, and consulting industries.
She has helped organizations with organizational planning and reorganization, the integration of HR practices in M&A scenarios, pushing enterprise HR agenda in Group Businesses, creating and implementing an effective talent strategy, bolstering Employer Brand, and developing progressive HR policies.
Preemita has a proven track record of achieving achievements and has experience managing both people and business goals. She has managed a wide range of stakeholders while leading HR functions both domestically and internationally.
She has spent a lot of time working on HR Transformation, which involves utilizing HR technology effectively to release productivity, foster competence, develop leadership, enable a learning culture, and accelerate transformation. She has also completed tasks outside the HR Function satisfactorily.
Preemita previously worked as the CHRO and Head CSR for Hero FinCorp before joining Havells India Ltd. She oversaw human resources for Hero Fincorp and its affiliates in this capacity.
She has previously served as Group HR Head for ICRA. She was responsible for leading HR for Group ICRA and its subsidiaries, advancing ICRA’s HR Transformation strategy, and meeting the needs of each business within the Group in this role.
As Head of Organization & Staffing, encompassing Talent Management and Acquisition, PAN India, Preemita formerly worked with Max. She was in charge of the Talent Management and Acquisition portfolio, which included 220 offices throughout India.
She has also worked with prestigious companies including RBS, CSC, and EY during her career. She began her career as an HR – Management Trainee at Thermax.
Preemita graduated from Symbiosis Law College with a master’s degree in Labor laws and welfare.
