Satish Mohapatra has been appointed Vice President and Head of Central HR by Maruti Suzuki India.

Mohapatra has over 25 years of HR expertise in a variety of industries, including oil & gas, manufacturing, IT, and telecom.

Mohapatra was employed by Siemens as Vice President and Head of People & Organisation (HR), Smart Infrastructure, South Asia before joining Maruti Suzuki. Additionally, he has worked at Indian Oil Corporation, Siemens Technology India, and Atos. He began his career in 1998 at Tata Communications (VSNL) as a Junior Officer (HR).

“My initial focus and priorities would be to study the existing culture of India’s no. 1 passenger car company, with a rich legacy of 40 years and a dominant market share of 40%, and bring in a new age, progressive people practice that would help MSIL attract and retain millennial tech talent,” said Satish Mohapatra, VP, and Head – Central HR, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL).

Mohapatra has an LLB and a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Utkal University.
