Amazon, an e-commerce-focused American multinational technology firm, has announced Rohit Johar’s appointment as HR Director for India Business.
I’m glad to tell that I’m starting a new position as HR Director India at Amazon, as Rohit announced on social media.
Rohit is a leader who creates value for clients, companies, and workers with his extensive leadership expertise in human resources, digital transformation, operations, and M&A integration. He has more than 20 years of expertise in the HR field.
With a track record of coordinating business and human capital initiatives that have an impact on business outcomes, Rohit has a proven ability to lead and inspire sizable international teams. He is a dependable counsel with the ability to coordinate internal and external stakeholders from various business units.
From Genpact, where he served as Vice President, Global HR Leader, Banking & Financial Services, Rohit has joined Amazon. He was in charge of managing the talent for the teams serving the biggest international banks, with a focus on being the most transformative partner and offering sustainable delivery at scale.
In addition, Rohit was managing a group of international leaders overseeing almost 20k employees in 11 nations, carrying out HR strategy, and promoting development, smooth delivery, employee engagement, and profitability. He served in numerous leadership positions over his more than ten years of employment with the company.
With the Goodricke Group, Rohit began his career. He was formerly the Head of Human Resources. He created frameworks and introduced Talent Management procedures throughout the company in this capacity.
Additionally, Rohit made it possible for the retail section to launch its talent management system and expand to a 750-member company. He spent more than 12 years working for the company.
The Faculty of Management Studies, Jabalpur, is where Rohit obtained his Master of Business Administration, Marketing, and Human Resources degree. He graduated from St. Josephs College Arts and Science in Bangalore with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations, Economics, and Sociology.
